JAMIE HEY
CELLO
Jamie studied with Colin Fox (Australia), Phoebe Carrai (U.S.A.), and Hidemi Suzuki (Japan). He has been Principal Cellist of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra since 2001. Other engagements have included Principal Cello with Il Complesso Barocco (Italy, Austria, France), Assistant Principal Cello with Orchestra Libera Classica (Japan), Associate Principal Cello of the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra as well as performances with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Pinchgut Opera. Jamie has featured as soloist on award winning recordings for the ABC Classics label.

Nicholas Pollock commenced his early instrument studies with Andrew Byrne (Sydney) and has performed in masterclasses abroad for Hopkinson Smith, Nigel North, Eduardo Egüez and Xavier Diaz-Lattore.
Nicholas performs in Australia and abroad with ensembles including Pinchgut Opera, as a principal player of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the Australian Haydn Ensemble, the Orchestra of the Antipodes, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. He has recorded for the Decca and ABC classics labels, and has performed at the Brisbane Baroque Festival, the Peninsula Summer Music Festival, the Woodend Winter Arts Festival and the Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields Festival. Nicholas also teaches early plucked instruments and basso continuo to students from beginner to university level.

Hailing from regional NSW, Tim Willis has been an exponent of historically informed performance since his teenage years. He has played with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Collegium 1704 (Prague), Batzdorfer Hofkapelle (Dresden), Elbipolis Barockorchester (Hamburg) in performances, festivals, recordings, and films around the world, from Italy to the Netherlands, and Georgia to China. Tim performs with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Pinchgut Opera and Muffat Collective. He is regularly engaged as a researcher, music typesetter and editor. His editions of newly discovered works from the baroque period have been used in numerous CD recordings and concert performances by a number of soloists and ensembles. Tim also has a special interest in music for viola d'amore and concertises regularly on that instrument.

After 3 years as a full scholarship holder at the Australian National Academy of Music under the tutelage of Howard Penny Edwina then moved to the United Kingdom to further her studies and perform. She studied Baroque Cello in Edinburgh with David Watkin before moving down to London upon receiving an apprenticeship with Sir John Eliot Gardiner.
Edwina went on to tour Europe with Sir John Eliot Gardiner in his ensembles, The English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and to perform and tour Europe with the Gabrieli Consort and Players. Back in Australia she enjoys performing with many Historically Informed ensembles including the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Pinchgut Opera, Australian Haydn Ensemble, SocietyXVII, Coomoora Ensemble and Genesis Baroque to name a few.
